Terms of Service
Effective July 3, 2026
1. The service
SlideKiln ("we", "us") converts PowerPoint (.pptx) files you provide into HTML5 packages, via our web dashboard and REST API. By creating an account or using the API you agree to these terms. If you use SlideKiln on behalf of an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization to these terms.
2. Your content
You keep all rights to the presentations you upload and the packages we produce from them. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service: storing your files, processing them into output packages, and serving downloads to you. We never use your content for anything else, including training or marketing. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload, including any embedded fonts and media.
3. Accounts and acceptable use
Keep your credentials and API keys confidential; activity under your keys is your responsibility. You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to breach its security, circumventing plan limits or metering, uploading malware, converting content that is unlawful or that you have no right to process, or reselling the service without our agreement. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
4. Plans, billing, and taxes
Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe, with included conversion quotas and per-conversion overage as described on the pricing page. Usage-based charges are billed at the end of each billing period. Prices may change with at least 30 days notice, effective on your next billing cycle. Fees are exclusive of taxes. You can cancel any time via the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and completed charges are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. File retention
Uploaded files and generated packages are automatically deleted after the retention window (currently 24 hours from submission). Download your packages promptly; after expiry, re-uploading is the only way to regenerate them.
6. Service quality
We aim for high-fidelity conversion, but PowerPoint is a large format and exact reproduction of every deck cannot be guaranteed — conversion results may include reported warnings (for example, font substitutions). The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard at least 14 days in advance, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. Questions: support@slidekiln.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
